Do you want to get nice abs but the idea of going to the gym and lifting weights doesn’t inspire you? Do you want to do your ab workouts from home? If the answer is yes then I am about to show you 3 easy ab workout routines for women that you can do without using equipment.
Ab Workout #1 – Power Walking:
45 minute brisk walks 4x or more per week.
You will need to leave the house for this but it is well worth going for energetic walks at least 4 times a week. The main purpose of walking is to maintain a healthy heart and stimulate your metabolism. This will encourage your body to burn fat and increase your muscle definition around the tummy area. It also places less stress on your knees compared to jogging.
Ab Workout #2 – Ab Crunch:
An exercise mat may be useful for this ab workout but doesn’t require any other equipment. Lie on your back with your legs bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands behind your head, keep your chin off your chest the whole time otherwise your abdominal muscles won’t be used and you could cause injury.
Lift your head, neck & shoulders lift off the floor but keep your middle & lower back grounded. Hold for a few seconds then return to the starting position. Start by doing 3 sets of 5 repetitions.
Ab Workout #3 – Yoga Triangle Pose:
Yoga is a great ab workouts for women at home as it is a less vigorous exercise. To perform the triangle pose start with your legs apart – your left foot facing forwards and your right foot pointing to the side. Now roll your body sideways to the right keeping your arms and legs straight so that you feel the stretch.
You should end up in a position where the back of your right hand is touching your right ankle and your left arm is vertical in the air. Hold this position for a few seconds before doing the opposite side. Breathe through your nose and expand and contract the stomach as you breathe. Other good poses to check out are the camel pose and the plank pose.
